Dog License

State Statutes and the Town of Berry require all dogs to be vaccinated for rabies and licensed. Licenses are valid as of January 1 and expire on December 31 of each year and are to be purchased on an annual basis.

An additional $5 delinquent fee will be charged if the license is not paid prior to April 1. The April 1 deadline does not apply if you obtained your dog after April 1 or your dog was not 5 months of age prior to April 1. A new license is not required if you move into Berry during the calendar year and have already purchased a license from your prior municipality, but you should notify the original municipality of the new address.

Starting January 1, 2020 dog license fees are:
Neutered male or spayed female – $17.50
Un-neutered male or un-spayed female – $22.50
Multiple license (kennel) – $47.00

When applying for a dog license you will need to furnish the following:
A completed application form
Proof of rabies vaccination certificate from vet
Payment in full payable to Town of Berry
A self addressed stamped envelope

All of these items are needed before the Treasurer can issue a dog or multiple dog license. Licenses will not be issued without proof of rabies vaccination.
